The pub is located just across Hwy 59 – 5 minutes away from the hotel.
Sessions at Hugh O’Connors are open to the public whether you play or just want to come listen.
Thursday and Friday evening – By popular demand, an on campus evening session has been arranged in the Champions Lounge. Please note that no beverages will be served. Top off and bring your water bottle.

Back in 2021 the Cruinniú Criú and other Houston session players recorded a bunch of sets common to the local repertoire – 22 sets altogether. We’ve compiled those recordings and placed them in a zip file for your use. Additionally, we have included two reference documents: 1) hyperlinks to each tune listing on thesession.org, and 2) the opening dots for each piece (ABCs are posted in thesession.org).
To get the recordings – download this zip file. After download, on your computer, double click on the file to unzip it. It will create a new folder containing the mp3 files and documents.
